The Task

I was asked to create a Favicon for the website Videoverhandlungen.de that can simultaneously be used as a logo icon. The purpose of the website should be used for comparing the services of different online courts.

My Role
My responsibility here was to create a Favicon/Logo that was simple and easily recognizable but also work in the websites' dark mode. However in order for a Favicon to work, it had to be recognizable since it was very small.
Also it was important to combine the aspects of court and the fact that it is only available online. Additionally I provided consultation on the font that could be used for the website.
The Process
The first draft which was mainly about the gavel. I tired to implement some variations of the "online" and "rating" aspect.
Here I created more icon variations originating from the first draft which I already put in front of the background of the dark mode.
The final decision was towards the design of a courthouse in the combination of a mouse pointer.
